Tridium Niagara Framework Connector
The Belimo driver for Niagara Framework allows Tridium Niagara 4 supervisor, Jace 8000 as well as any other Device running a Niagara station, to integrate your Belimo devices' digital twin.
It implements the Belimo Cloud API, and it has been developed within the Belimo Developer Space framework.
This driver has been developed by Inlon Engineering, and it is distributed for free on GitHub: https://github.com/inlon-engineering/niagara-belimo-iot
The basic idea is to connect to the Belimo Digital Ecosystem and interact with the digital twins of the devices by normalizing devices' data points within the Niagara environment.
Tridium is the developer of Niagara Framework. More information can be found on Tridium website
Quick Start
Inlon Engineering has also provided a quick start guide on Vimeo Niagara Driver for the Belimo Digital Ecosystem. Remember that you need at least Niagara 4.9 Framework.
Once the software module is properly imported into Niagara 4 you will find all the components in your palette.
To get access to the Belimo Digital Ecosystem you will need your application-specific Client ID. You will obtain it by subscribing to the Belimo Developer Space. When filling in the form, remember to tell us that your application will use the Inlon Engineering connector.
Once the connector is active and properly configured, it is possible to discover the digital twins of the devices belonging to a specific BelimoID and import them in the local Niagara Database. |
This connector makes you able to read, write and synchronize the historical data of the data points of your devices. On the right you can see historical Energy Consumption data synchronized with the mapped datapoint of the digital twin of your device. |
You can also easily create Niagara objects that can be directly mapped to Belimo digital twin data points' properties and interact with them natively. |
Obtaining Support
This connector has been developed by a third company with Belimo's support. The developer is free to support it and to keep it updated.
This software can be used to develop new applications.
Belimo does not guarantee any support on new applications or on this software, which is distributed as it is and without any warranty. Please visit the developer's website for more information.
The support offered by Belimo is of a general nature on a best effort basis, for instance in developing your own connector for a different platform. Should you be interested please write to: iot@belimo.ch
