What should you do to prepare yourself for a job interview with Belimo?
By Helge Kort
Prospective candidates always face a number of challenges when preparing for a job interview. What questions will I be asked? Should I inform myself about the company beforehand? What should I wear?
If you were to ask 10 different companies these questions, you would very likely receive 10 different answers. Since we at Belimo practice a trusting and open corporate culture, we would like to make it easier for you to prepare for an interview with us.
The first interview is very important for us to find out if you have the right skills for our position. Therefore, after a brief round of introductions, we will ask you specific questions about your professional experience, both past and present. It's important for us to hear about how you've overcome challenges, what made you happy in your previous roles, and what you didn't like about them. In each case, we are interested in what the initial situation was, how you proceeded, and what conclusions you drew. The more specific you can be about the highlights of your career to date, the easier it will be for us to compare them to the position.
Cultural fit is probably the most important factor in the hiring process. The best thing to do is to think about what is important to you in an employer, in a job, and in a manager. The more open and honest you are with us, the better we can work together to determine if you would be a good fit for us.
Doing so would mean that you have practically completed your preparations. Another thing that is very important to us is that you think about what you would like to know about us. During the interview, we will allow sufficient time to introduce you to the position and answer any questions you may have about us.
Once you have given some thought to these topics in advance, you will be very well prepared for our first meeting.
The only question left is what to wear - simply pick an outfit that matches your job. And remember, we are an industrial company. You won't find many people in suits around here.
We look forward to getting to know you!
